Day 1 AIRPORT – VENICE

You can land in Venice or just continue your Italian tour from here on into perfect winter holidays in Slovenia. Venice, the eternal city of love, is beautiful in every season. Being built on top of the Adriatic Sea gives it a mild climate and a pleasant winter escape. And as a pro tip – Venice is far less crowded in the winter time that at any other point of the year!

If you happen to travel in February make sure to synchronize your holidays with the carnival. Venice carnival is a pure magic! And don’t worry, if you send us your enquiry we’ll remind you about that. You can count on sleeping in the most beautiful hotel in the center of Venice, to truly experience it also by night.

Day 2 VENICE – POSTOJNA CAVE – LJUBLJANA

From Venice you’ll continue your way towards Slovenian capital – Ljubljana. On the way you will stop in one of the main Slovenian attractions – Postojna cave. This is the longest accessible tourist cave in Europe, so long, that the first part of the visit is actually done on a historical train. Winter fact – you will definitely warm up inside – the cave holds the constant temperature of 12°C all year round.

In December the cave is extra magically decorated, between Christmas and New Year’s you can even see the live Christmas Crib show that extends for the entire length of the visit. But if you miss it, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the private concert in this acoustic wander of the world.

Day 3 LJUBLJANA

Ljubljana is a small capital of Slovenia. It is completely safe, centrally located and charming. During the private visit you’ll get to know all the historically important and fun facts about the city. But the true winter spirit of the town lies along the cobble streets and the river of the old town that are full of small restaurants and cafes. Here, during the winter time, they serve the typical mulled wine that you really can’t miss.

Even more, in December, Christmas lights and a typical Christmas market light up the streets. You will sleep in the best boutique hotel of the old city center so you can really experience the best the town has to offer.

Day 4 LJUBLJANA – LAKE BLED – LJUBLJANA

Today is the Alps day. We’ll take you to the famous Lake Bled and with just a little bit of luck, everything will be white. Depending on a weather you’ll go to the island on the middle of the lake on a typical boat. After, you will have lunch in the restaurant in the Bled Castle with the best view of it all.

Skiing in Slovenia

In case you feel sporty in this region there are plenty of possibilities to try yourself out in many different winter sports. There are several ski resorts but you can try some of the more unique experiences like winter mountaineering, ice climbing, ski touring outside of the ski resorts from the mountain peaks. In this case, you can, of course prolong your stay in this region for as long as you want. And even more, you can also do this part in the nearby Italy or Austria, if you prefer.

Day 5 LJUBLJANA – SLOVENIAN SPA

Slovenia is a spa destination, it has 15 certified natural health resorts. All these different resorts are very specific. Some of them are perfect for families, others for couples. Some are specialized in medical tourism, others offer you wellness and relaxing retreats. We can (and will) help you pick the best one.

Slovenian spas are too small to have a worldwide reputation – but trust us, the quality of water and service is outstanding. Slovenian healing waters were known already way in the past, used by different nobles throughout history. Depending on the chosen programme you can stay here for as long as you’d like.

Day 6 SLOVENIAN SPA - ZAGREB

Continuing from the spa to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Similar to Ljubljana, Zagreb is also an important historic town in this side of Europe and it transforms completely into the fairytale of lights throughout the December. It has one of the biggest Christmas markets in the region and you’ll definitely feel amazing. Again, a central boutique hotel will make sure you truly absorb all the winter spirit of the city.

The pictures will be amazing and the memories will last forever.

Day 8 ZAGREB – AIRPORT

The last day off in Zagreb will be dedicated to some late shopping. Here you’ll catch your flight back home and it will be the end of your winter holidays in Slovenia & Croatia. Your active or leisure winter EXPERIENCE

There are classical skiing and snowboarding experiences. For more adrenalin souls there’s ice climbing or winter mountaineering in the Alps. But you don’t have to be that active – the snowy landscape alone is enough to still your heart. You can make a snow man or just wander around and enjoy a different take on the classical sights. And if you happen to travel in December – there is also a magic of Christmas lights and markets in Ljubljana and Zagreb and you definitely don’t want to miss the most magical live Christmas crib show in a unique setting of the longest tourist cave in Europe.
